Family Law Associate Attorney

Vacca Family Law Group is a fast-growing family law firm seeking to add a Junior Associate to our team. We’ve built an excellent reputation for taking care of our high net-worth clients by helping them find creative solutions to their family law issues through mediation, collaborative divorce and negotiated agreements. We need an experienced attorney with excellent drafting skills, client communication skills and organizational skills and someone who shares the same passion we do for helping clients divorce without litigation.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for the competent provision of mediation and legal services, including drafting settlement agreements, prenuptial agreements, memos to clients, and status updates.
• Work with the senior attorneys to develop collaborative strategies and advise clients regarding their best interests, serving in some cases as the principal contact between the Firm and the clients.
• Gather and organize financial information and create financial reports.
• Draft and file uncontested divorce documents.
• Conduct legal and other research as needed.
Qualifications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working with clients who are dealing with highly stressful and emotional situations.
• Well-organized and able to handle multiple projects at once.
• Understand the importance of delivering a stellar client experience.
• True passion for helping couples resolve marital disputes in the least adversarial way possible.
• Work well in a team environment while being self-directed and self-motivated.
• Optimistic, empathetic, collaborative, and operate with the utmost integrity.
• Excel at setting realistic expectations for our clients and managing those expectations as the case progresses.
• Appreciate the value of streamlined policies and procedures to ensure that each client receives excellent representation and you are comfortable adapting your personal style to incorporate our high standards of care.
• Member in good standing of the New York State Bar.
• You have 2+ years experience in Family Law.
• You have Mediation and Collaborative Divorce training and/or are willing to become trained in both areas.
