Thoughtful, Resolution-Focused Guidance for Divorce and Mediation
I’m Wendy, and I help clients navigate the divorce process in a way that promotes financial and emotional well-being. I empower my clients to make sound decisions about spousal support, child support, property division, and parenting arrangements.
I began my legal career as a litigator, but I soon saw that courtroom battles often made family matters worse. I counseled many clients through the mediation process and quickly realized that clients who mediated maintained a more peaceful relationship with their ex-spouse, learned to co-parent more effectively, and were more satisfied with their financial settlements than clients who litigated.
At Vacca Family Law Group, I focus exclusively on non-adversarial divorce, including mediation, negotiation, and collaborative divorce, as well as prenuptial agreements. My clients come to me because they want to protect what matters most: their financial stability and the integrity of their relationships.
In addition to nearly two decades of family law experience, my background in child psychology makes my approach to divorce highly child-centric. I have studied the effects of divorce on children and the coping skills of children of divorce. When children are involved, non-adversarial divorce processes can help you communicate and cooperate with your ex-spouse in a way that will make you better co-parents.
I also help couples mediate prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, creating space for clear, forward-looking conversations about finances and expectations before marriage. These discussions aren’t just about protection; they’re about ensuring alignment and shared understanding as couples plan their futures together.
I earned my J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, where I focused on family law and mediation, and my B.A. in Psychology from Brandeis University, where I graduated magna cum laude with High Honors in Psychology for my thesis, “Role Concept Development in Children of Divorce.”
I am proud to bring nearly 20 years of family law experience to clients who want a better path forward for themselves and their children.

“Divorces are filled with decisions. Emotions like anger, sadness, anxiety, guilt, and relief can get in the way of making good choices. I help clients identify what matters most to them, reduce conflict, support their children, and move forward in ways that promote both financial and emotional well-being.”
